Welcome to my new home.
The reason for the change is that Friday night, when we got in from the pub, T happened to mention that his colleagues (people we had just been having drinks with) had discovered my blog. Now I know this isn’t a very dramatic outing, after all my blog wasn’t anonymous and I don’t post anything very private or mean or inflammatory. I think T thought I would be pleased. I wasn’t. I was horrified to put it mildly. That was my instant gut reaction anyway and I’m still feeling pretty much that way. Possibly over reacting here but that is me.
The blog (as some of you noticed) went private as I tried to figure out what to do. As you can see I decided for complete anonymity.
I really can’t explain why I don’t want them reading. I think my main problem is that they have been reading for a while and never left a comment or mentioned it. So there’s no dialogue, no give and take. This doesn’t bother me with strangers, I know some people don’t like/have time to comment and that’s fine but it does bother me with people I have to see every day.
I’m really not explaining myself at all well but I hope you get it.
Anyway welcome again, the blog will be getting prettier as soon as I figure out wordpress. I feel like I need a nickname to go with the new blog name. Ideas? Marmite and Tea came about because (apart from the people) these are the only two things I miss about the UKĀ – yes I am ready for my green card!

I totally understand… it freaks me out that I frequently see my name googled in my site meter… why are people googling my name? And then they find me, but no one has ever said anything about it. It is really freaky and I hate it!!!! I’ve often thought of going private.
glad you are still blogging though! As far as a nickname… I will think on that one!

Hello!
I understand the need for anonymity and I’m glad you let me know where you moved to. It would have been a shame to miss out on your great posts!

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww….
I was wondering “WHY” I couldn’t get into your DC Days blog?!?!? Okay that is weird that they even found your blog?!?! How did that happen?!?!? There are tons and tons of blogs out there! That is very rude that they didn’t leave a comment…at least one to say hey, I work with Tom and I’m reading or hahaha that post was funny I’m Tom’s friend from work! lol
Whatever…
I’m cool with you moving! I would too!
Now it makes me wonder who reads my blog that doesn’t comment! HE HE HE

If you want someone to make it all nice & pretty, go check out Nap Warden. She’s very inexpensive and did such a great job on my transfer.
You know? It’s funny you say that’s all you miss, because Mumof4 just announced she’s looking into US citizenship. Does Whole Foods not carry marmite? And, do you miss the flavor teas or just “tea” as a afternoon event?
Welcome to the new digs~

Girl, I hear you. I know I’ve told you that I did the exact same thing with my last blog. You always know people can see you, but then when you are confronted by someone who actually has, it is freaky! Anyway, you can be a lot more honest and a lot less censored with anonymity, so enjoy and say something nasty about someone!

Can you not get marmite at all? I’m pretty sure we can get it here, will look. I know we definitely get vegemite…uck! And how is American tea different from English? I can’t say I’ve noticed a difference between English and Canadian.
Can’t blame you for moving. I foolishly put my address on facebook and am regretting it.

I totally understand why you miss tea and marmite, why even the Irish drink tea differntly and don’t eat anything like the amount of marmite us English folk do!

You know you CAN buy marmite here, right?
More seriously, I don’t blame you for going private, especially if they weren’t commenting and you didn’t know they were reading- and for how long?
Thanks for letting me follow you!

Thanks for letting me know where you are !! You referenced getting your “green card” … for the time being, how about “green” ??

Phew, I’m glad you didn’t disappear and I found you again (through your comment on Yvonne’s)! I enjoy your posts.
The anonymity thing is tricky with blogging, isn’t it? It is weird when people search for you and find your blog, but don’t leave comments. I wish I knew who they were!
Ready for a green card, huh? And here I am wishing I could get residency in England…

Frannie – yes it’s so strange isn’t it, why not say??

Yvonne- thanks
Jeannie – I know very strange. I don;t know how they found me, because I googled myself and it doesn’t come up – very strange!
AFF- Thanks I will check out Napwarden I’d like something pretty. Wholefoods sometimes had Marmite and I miss the types of tea and also being able to order it in restaurants – they just can’t make a good cuppa here. Although I am now addicted to iced tea!
I eat bears – you always make me laugh! I’ll try and do a mean post
Emma – I find the tea they have isn’t strong enough I like a nice strong brew, I have to practically stew it!
Beccy – marmite is so English isn’t?
Lisa – thanks for coming. Yes I know but I have to hunt it down it isn’t everywhere and it is so expensive – and I liked the name
Beth – no problem thanks for coming.
Angie – Thanks and thanks for coming over. Maybe we can swap

I was worried when I couldn’t access your blog so glad you let me know where to come for marmite and Tea ( well I actually prefer coffee!) I’m very good at dispensing marmite to the states so just say the word and I will send you a pot!

I hear you – I’m paranoid someone from work will find mine. I’ve been thinking about going private as well.
