Blogging not Sleeping May 11, 2008
This is fuelled by vodka and tonic, so apologies if I make little sense.
Tonight I learnt that Guinness had fewer calories than American larger. Even though this information was written down on a paper place mat and therefore must be true I am having a hard time believing it. It might be like porridge having less calories than a croissant, anyone know the truth?
Pub topic of the night was which US state would you be called? We liked Alabama, Hawaii and Tennessee, Indiana (obviously), Nebraska, Michigan, Texas, Alaska, California (Callie) best. I’m also holding out for DC even though it isn’t a state. I also like Tuesday, not a state but a good name – are you beginning to think my children might hate me?
In other news WordPress appears to hate me/is to complicated for me. Things keep changing and disappearing and not looking the same in preview as they do when published. Also the spell check only seems to work sometimes and I am a person who really needs a spell checker. Maybe there is a ghost in the machine?
Anyways not much more to say; I am so tired and so unable to sleep. I may go roam the internets and see what I can see. Or maybe I’ll go and watch the Twilight trailer again!
I think WordPress has it out for you.
Haha.
Hope WordPress behaves itself soon. Didn’t know that about Guinness, amazing!
I always do blog posts in Word, then copy and paste, so Blogger doesn’t eat them. You may want to try doing the same for WordPress.
You are so funny. I think I like Wisconsin or Oregon. And, I know nothing about beer, but I’ll take your word for it.
WordPress is not easy. I’m debating going self-hosted but still haven’t decided if I want it via WP or Blogger.
Yvonne - I know can it be true???
Bunnygirl - thanks I may try that.
AFF - Well take the place mat at the restaurants word for it
If it’s written it is true!
Sorry about WordPress, I have issues with Typepad sometimes, too.
I learned about Guinness a few years ago, which totally justified for me my love of it and my hatred of American ‘beer.’
(Though some of the new micro breweries are quite good.)
I do like Tuesday, too, but a state, I don;t know.
That was pretty coherent to be fueled by the wicked drink ;).
Nothin’ is more aggravating than formatting something for your blog and it publishing totally different. I hate to think about how much time I’ve wasted on that very thing :/.
I always hear bad stuff about wordpress…
Spell check is a MUST HAVE…4 sure! =)
I wouldn’t have guessed that about beer…
Awwwwwwwwwww…I love me some beer! All kinds!
Miller Lite, corona beer, blue moon, Heineken (with a BIG FAT queen olive), ZiegenBock, Shiner Blonde, Red Stripe, Hoegaarden Beer White Beligum….I could go on and on and on but I won’t!!! HE HE HE
Do you like beer? What is your fav?
If you like beer…I would like to send you some TEXAS beer you wouldn’t be able to get in DC?!?!? Let me know?!?!?
I went to school with a girl named Wednesday. I encouraged my daughter to name her son Montana.
