British Girl transplanted to the US. I adore my new home.
I’m learning the lingo – sidewalks, cellphones, lines, awesome and sketchy!
Loving the food – grits are the best.
Missing a proper cup of tea and marmite (yeast like spread for toast can be found in Wholefoods for a exorbitant price).
I spend my time reading, exploring, trying to take decent photos, blogging and taking care of the hubby and house.
Now my working visa has arrived I may be forced to get a job – horrors!

So nice to see another ex-pat over here AND in the blogosphere. I can’t say I love Marmite (or like, for that matter) but no worries…
I saw you on AFF’s blogroll and had to come see you! I’ll be back again.

Just dropped by via Vdog bc I saw where her little dude was headed. Sounds like we are in the same neck of the woods. I’m excited to check your blog out. We’re new in town, too.

Grits are, indeed, awesome!

I think you and I would get along quite nicely – I love grits and Marmite (although not together).

If you’re the one taking the pictures on your blog, kudos to you. I love the one on this page. I love taking pictures too. I can’t wait to take tons of DC. This will be the first time in DC that I won’t have someone hurrying me along to the next thing. I’ll be able to shoot things to my heart’s content.
Grits are the best? Really? I adore grits. I grew up eating them almost every morning, but it’s not usually people’s first choice for American foods they love.
